The Train The Trainer Programme offers Math teachers and Math tutors the opportunity to level up their Math knowledge and stay relevant to the development of Math standard. Trainees attend weekly sessions and learn essential concepts, strategies and competition techniques. More importantly, our Programme uses strong and proven Critical Thinking Training techniques developed by Mr Terry Chew to help Trainees develop the Critical Thinking Skills.

The Train The Trainer curriculum is designed to help teachers to expand their Math knowledge as well as showing them how students are involved in developing mathematical ideas. A typical math may normally only see or understand one way to approach a problem but a trained Math Olympiad teacher understands three to four reasons why and makes connections between different Math topics to solve complicated problem sums – Critical Thinking Skills.

Math Olympiad can help students to analyse tasks and questions, think about complex problems in a deeper and more systematic way, and learn how to link mathematics to most everyday events. Math Olympiad emphasizes on moving away from those outdated methods of teaching through repetitive drill and practice, mechanical memorisation, and regurgitation of information. Naturally, students who have a higher aptitude of Math may opt for competing in prestigious international Math Olympiad Competition to test creative mathematical thinking and flexible understanding of core mathematical concepts. However, Math Olympiad training doesn’t mean stressful competition. Math Olympiad training programmes can be simply a fun and challenging way to introduce children to the delights of Math by stretching their understanding the same way Math Olympiad competition does. Many students benefit from Math Olympiad training which has proven to lay a strong foundation both for their academic success in school.

Our fee structure is as follows: 1. Fees are collected before the start of a term on a term basis. Fees are listed before taxes, where applicable.
  • Each Programme consists of twelve (12) weekly lessons.
  • Programme fees are collected on a single term or 2 terms basis – each term consists of 12 lessons, and has fixed start and end dates.

Mr Terry Chew is a prolific writer, trainer of critical thinking skills and an entrepreneur. He pioneered the idea of sharing the richness of atypical math questions in his celebrated Math Olympiad series “Unleash The Math Olympian in You!”. Author of 24 books on Math Olympiad series , and is currently penning the next Math Olympiad series. He is also the Chief Examiner at Southeast Asia Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO).

Mr Terry Chew B.Sc was the first author in Singapore to publish a Maths Olympiad workbook series since 2007. The series ‘Unleash the Maths Olympian in You!’ is still being used as the Gold-Standard across Southeast Asia today. We have helped hundreds of our students achieve the results they want and many of them went on to enter top schools such as Raffles Institution, ACS(I), NUS High School of Maths and Science, Nanyang Girls’ High School and Hwa Chong Institution. At least 60% of our students have won GOLD or SILVER Medals in prestigious Math Competitions ,which include Kangaroo, SASMO, SEAMO, NMOS, RMO, SMOPS, Mathlympics, SMO, AMC8, AMC10 and other local and international Maths Competitions.
